We are looking for an experienced Customer Journey Expert willing to take on a huge challenge and work on one of the main strategic products for ING Payments
Payments is on the move. With market trends like AI, Big Tech and Fintech shaping the future, ING Payments is working on the next step towards seamless and integrated Payments for our customers. As part of the European Payments Initiative (EPI) we are developing a new proposition for E/M-commerce transactions.
**Your department**
In our department (_tribe_) Payment NL we work towards giving our customers the best and most seamless Payments customer journey possible. To realize this ambition, we are looking for an experienced customer journey expert, who has in-depth knowledge of Payment Products and developing (mobile) features to integrate into our mobile App. You know how to convert this knowledge and experience into leading the development team into developing this entirely new proposition for our customers, taking the responsibility for the refinement, planning and delivery of the 11 payment types that will be provided. ING Payments NL is one of the largest tribes within ING the Netherlands and mostly based in Amsterdam. The tribe entails all products and processes associated with Payments within ING the Netherlands servicing our 7 million customers every day.
**Your team**
Your team is quite new and will focus on the implementation of the E-commerce proposition provided by EPI (product name WERO) within the ING’s banking APP.
You will work closely together with other ING departments, such as the risk parties, other tribes and ING Belgium amongst other stakeholders throughout the entire payments chain. Externally, you work together with parties such as Payconiq, iDeal and EPI.

You are a team player, have excellent problem-solving ability and can drive projects from concept to execution. As our new Customer Journey Expert, you:
- Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Have knowledge of the Payment market.
- Understand customer needs and challenges.
- Have a commercial mindset and a drive to make impact.
- Can demonstrate experience in implementing innovations or propositions.
- Can make the link between business and IT
- Have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take decisions based on data and facts.
- Have solid interpersonal and collaborative skills to interact with different stakeholders.
- Are fluent in English (verbally and written).
- Like to deep dive into the content to create the best products.
- Understand the need to comply with regulations and policies but dare to debate alternatives and challenge status quo.
