The Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology, Europe’s largest pediatric comprehensive cancer center, is seeking a highly skilled Post-Award Grant Officer to oversee and manage awarded grants, ensuring the efficient execution of funded projects in alignment with funding agency regulations and organizational goals.

Our ambition is to be one of the leading scientific research institutes for pediatric oncology in the world. The bundling of various expertise has led to a comprehensive, well-equipped pediatric oncology institute. Our research covers the entire spectrum from: fundamental research using cutting-edge technologies, translational experiments to develop personalized therapies and psychosocial studies that monitor wellbeing of patients and the whole family.

Since the national centralization of pediatric oncology in 2018, we have evolved significantly and broadened our scope. With an ever-increasing focus on impactful, high-quality research, we are looking for a Post-Award Grant Officer who can play a pivotal role in the continued success and development of our innovative projects.

**What to expect?**

As a Post-Award Grant Officer, you will be responsible for the effective management and oversight of awarded grants, ensuring compliance with funding agency regulations and organizational policies. You will manage budgets, track milestones, and prepare necessary reports, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of grant-funded projects.
- As a Post-Award Grant Officer you will: _
- Managing the implementation of awarded grants and ensuring adherence to project plans;
- Ensuring compliance with funding agency regulations and internal policies;
- Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, including milestones and deadlines;
- Monitoring project progress and addressing any issues that arise;
- Preparing and submitting progress and financial reports, as well as other required documentation to funding agencies;
- Managing grant budgets, ensuring funds are allocated and spent according to grant specifications;
- Serving as the primary point of contact for internal teams and funding agencies on post-award matters;
- Conducting regular meetings with project teams to review progress and resolve issues;
- Ensuring accurate maintenance and organization of all grant-related documentation;
- Providing training and support to project leaders on post-award processes and compliance requirements.

You will join the research staff team. You will collaborate closely with pre-award grant adviser, project controllers, legal advisors, business developer, and group leaders to ensure comprehensive support for research initiatives. You will report to the Strategy Manager Research, Kristel Kleijer.

**Profile**

Are you passionate about ensuring the success of our grants by providing expert management and oversight of post-award activities.
- What you need to be successful?_
- Master’s degree in a relevant field;
- Previous experience at an international research institute or similar environment;
- In-depth knowledge of funding agency requirements and regulations;
- Proven expertise in grant management, particularly in post-award processes;
- Strong project management skills, including proficiency in scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation;
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders;
- High attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all grant-related documentation;
- Proficiency in using project management and grant management tools.

**Compensations and benefits**

In accordance with the collective labour agreement ‘cao algemene ziekenhuizen’ (FWG 60), the salary is max. €5.746;
- euro gross per month for a full-time working week (36 hours). Your gross monthly salary will depend on experience and background, complemented by 8,33% gross monthly salary holiday allowance and 8,33 % end-of-year bonus.

The Princess Máxima Center for pediatric oncology is an integrated hospital and research institute, which integrates healthcare, research and education on pediatric cancer, in a single location in Utrecht. Our institute aims to provide the highest level of care for all children with cancer, with optimal quality of life. The center brings together the best possible care and scientific research, creating a unique interdisciplinary institute for pediatric oncology in Europe.

Currently, the research organization consists of 37 group leaders who are active in the fields of fundamental, translational, and clinical research.
