We are seeking a passionate and talented Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Chef de Cuisine in all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service. - Supervise the day-to-day operation of all sections within the kitchen, overseeing all aspects of food production, hygiene and cost control;
- Oversee the quality and continuity of the dishes;
- Plan and organize the work in The White Room kitchen, reporting to the Chef de Cuisine;
- Participate with your creativity in the creation of new dishes for the menu;
- Display a passionate, fun and enthusiastic approach to cooking in order to motivate the team and create an enjoyable, cohesive and supporting working environment to work in;
- Act as a role model and mentor to junior members of the brigade in order to guide and support them in their personal and career development.

The location of Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam marks the heart of the Dutch capital as it overlooks the Royal Palace and National Monument on Dam Square. The hotel offers top-class gastronomic experiences in Restaurant the White Room by Jacob Jan Boerma, the exclusive Michelin-starred restaurant in the hotel. The hotel also houses the award-winning cocktail bar The Tailor and the modern elegant Grand Café Krasnapolsky.

Along with 402 modern rooms, more than 2000 square meters of meeting space and a new Spa & Wellness for those seeking ultimate relaxation, Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky has everything to provide an unforgettable stay with an authentic local touch. The name The White Room is derived from the historical name of the room ‘De Witte Zaal’, the name that was given to the restaurant when it first opened in 1885. The room is listed as a monument and is considered to be the oldest restaurant of Amsterdam in original condition. History and future are connected with one another, due to the modern styling of this unique restaurant. Jacob Jan Boerma is the Signature Chef of Restaurant The White Room*. The team that carries out his vision in Amsterdam is led by Chef de Cuisine Tristan de Boer.

- Commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation;
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in the English language, Dutch is a plus.
