For our Haarlem based headquarters in The Netherlands, we are looking for a:
**SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT MANAGER SPORTS TECHNOLOGY**

As Software Development Manager at our International Headquarters in Haarlem, you play a key role in our Software department, which includes IoT and Cloud solutions of both Active
- and Motorsport Events, and our dedicated Speedhive platform. The biggest motorsport platform for racers. With a team of 13 Software and QA Engineers you ensure accuracy, state-of-the-art software development and high quality of our portfolio.

**The role**
In this senior role, you will be part of an international team creating products for motorsports events. Our products are used by hundreds of thousands of racers and fans every year. Our global motorsports platform, Speedhive, consisting of both a web platform and corresponding mobile apps (Android and iOS), is the largest race results platform in the world used by professional
- and amateur racers.

While being situated in the C# team maintaining Speedhive, you’ll play a key role in adding new functionality to our Java Spring Boot API’s feeding Speedhive. Therefore, extensive knowledge of both technologies and having excellent communication skills is a must.

Yes, you’re reading it right, we’re looking for someone who has passion for software development in general and therefor has knowledge of both Java and C#.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and manage your team of Software and QA Engineers;
- Project Management: Together with the Product Owners you make sure that software projects are planned and executed with the right priority. By using scrum you continuously strive for releases that add most value.;
- Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and ensure best practices in software development;
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, like Product Management, Business Solutions, Hardware and IT/Infrastructure;
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve development processes and use methodologies to enhance productivity and quality;
- Stakeholder communication: Communicate project status, risks and issues to stakeholders;
- Services support to guarantee successful sports events across the globe.

**Your profile**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering or a related field;
- At least 3-5 years of experience in Software development and in a managerial role;
- Proficiency in JAVA and, C#, experience with frameworks and tools like: VUE.js, Spring, MySQL and Azure;
- Scrum savvy;
- Excellent communication skills verbally and in writing;
- Passion for sports and technology.
