Head of Travel Retail Operations

Rituals is seeking a seasoned retail professional to lead our travel retail stores across multiple international locations. As Head of Travel Retail Stores, you will play a key role in developing and executing strategies to secure, manage, and optimize airport duty free retail stores.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the operations and performance of retail stores in our duty free airport shops, targeting 50 locations across EMEA.
- Develop strong relationships with partner-operated stores and drive future expansion with key partners.
- Design and implement strategies to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and revenue growth within the airport travel retail environment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with airport authorities, ensuring compliance with regulations and adhering to high standards for airport operations.
- Lead the tender process for securing prime retail space in airports and negotiate successful agreements for new store locations.
- Develop and execute international retail expansion strategies, considering market trends, local regulations, and customer demographics.
- Analyze sales data and implement strategies to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotional activities.
- Ensure each store aligns with company standards in terms of visual merchandising, inventory management, and operational excellence.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to senior management on financial performance, sales trends, and business opportunities.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3 Area Managers, overseeing 200+ employees across multiple countries.
- Minimum 8-10 years of retail management experience, with at least 5 years in airport travel retail or similar high-traffic environments.
- Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in leading international retail operations and managing geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Deep understanding of retail store operations, merchandising, and inventory management combined with strong business acumen and financial literacy.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate the complexities of international business and deadlines.
- Solid strategic thinking and problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel frequently, at least 2 days a week.
