Job Title: Head of Travel Retail Stores

Job Summary:

Rituals is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven professional to lead our Travel Retail Stores operations. As Head of Travel Retail Stores, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive revenue growth, improve customer satisfaction, and optimize store performance across multiple international locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the operations and performance of retail stores in our duty-free airport shops, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction and revenue growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with airport authority regulations and adhere to high standards required for airport operations.
  • Lead and manage the tender process for securing prime retail space in airports, ensuring timely and successful negotiations and agreements for new store locations.
  • Develop and execute international retail expansion strategies, considering market trends, local regulations, and customer demographics.
  • Analyze sales data and implement strategies to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotional activities.
  • Ensure that each store is aligned with company standards in terms of visual merchandising, inventory management, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports to senior management on financial performance, sales trends, and business opportunities.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 3 Area Managers (200+ fte in total) across multiple countries, setting clear objectives, providing regular feedback, and fostering a culture of high performance and accountability within the team.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of retail management experience, with at least 5 years in airport travel retail or similar high-traffic environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, retail management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading international retail operations and managing geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of retail store operations, merchandising, and inventory management combined with strong business acumen and financial literacy.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and navigate the complexities of international business and deadlines.
  • Solid strategic thinking and problem-solving.
  • Willingness to travel frequently; at least 2 days a week.
