Job Description


We are seeking an exceptional researcher to contribute to the development of optical atomic clocks. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to design, build, and operate these cutting-edge devices, which have far-reaching implications for fundamental science and society.



Salary and Benefits


As an Academic Researcher at the Universiteit van Amsterdam, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from €2,300 to €3,000 per month (based on 38 hours per week). In addition, you will enjoy a range of benefits, including holiday hours, professional development opportunities, and a comprehensive pension plan.



Required Skills and Qualifications


To succeed in this role, you should possess a Master's degree in Atomic, Molecular, or Optical Physics, with experience in ultracold atoms or trapped ions. Strong motivation, excellent communication skills, and a good command of English are also essential.
