Wafer Stage Sensor Cleaning Specialist

Position Overview

The mission of your team is to utilize expertise in surface contamination and cleaning methodologies to guarantee the peak performance and longevity of wafer stage sensors, while reducing the impact on scanner uptime. In collaboration with the team architect, you will devise strategies for cleaning sensors on upcoming scanner platforms and enhancements for the existing systems, considering surface analysis methodologies.

Your team will convert these strategies into hardware and software specifications for those developing scanner gas and vacuum systems, sensors, metrology, and dose control. You will assist in formulating test plans to validate these strategies and implement them on scanner prototypes and testing setups, employing modeling techniques in Python or MATLAB.

You will carry out offline experimental investigations to enhance models related to contamination and cleaning of the sensors. During the system integration phase, your analytical mindset, innovative problem-solving skills, and proactive approach will be essential in crafting creative solutions that navigate, overcome, and/or swiftly resolve disturbances without compromising projected performance metrics or delivery schedules.

You will be responsible for setting and prioritizing your own objectives, maintaining an overview of collaborative tests agreed upon with partner projects, conducting analyses and calculations to forecast sensor degradation and the effectiveness of cleaning solutions, supporting design through analysis, developing test plans, and executing tests to confirm specifications. Additionally, you will define and conduct experimental offline studies to refine degradation and cleaning models.

Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, Applied Physics, or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • Proficient knowledge of molecular contamination control and modeling in an industrial context
  • Familiarity with product development in a concurrent design environment
  • Experience in experimental physics or chemistry, particularly in plasma-material interactions or thin film deposition
  • Modeling proficiency with Python or MATLAB
  • Experience with surface analysis techniques
  • Knowledge of vacuum systems, thin film processes, or EUV optics is advantageous
