Job Summary

As a Service & Commissioning Engineer at Van der Leun, you will be responsible for independently commissioning and servicing electrical installations on board ships. You will troubleshoot and repair issues with sensors, wiring, system cabinets, and other installation components by replacing parts, adjusting settings, and repairing components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commission and service electrical installations on board ships
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues with sensors, wiring, system cabinets, and other installation components
  • Work independently and proactively to resolve problems
  • Prepare service reports
  • Commission new installations, including battery systems, hybrid installations, and hoisting and propulsion installations
  • Test wiring, sensors, and systems to ensure proper functioning
  • Identify and resolve issues with installations

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in the maritime industry
  • Knowledge of baggertechniek and -processen, automatiseringstechnologie, and hoogspanningstechniek
  • VCA-Vol certification or willingness to obtain
  • Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, quality and testing requirements
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English languages

What We Offer

You will be working for a growing and dynamic family-owned company with a good and informal work atmosphere. We have an active employee association and a monthly Friday afternoon get-together.

We work under the Metal and Technology collective labor agreement. You will receive a market-conform salary between € 2,900,- and € 3,600,- gross per month based on a full-time employment contract, depending on your knowledge and experience. You will also receive a generous allowance for working abroad, reimbursement for travel expenses, and 25 vacation days and 13 ADV days.

You will be enrolled in the Pension Fund for Metal and Technology and have the opportunity to participate in the collective health insurance. You will receive a laptop and mobile phone.

Children of employees can claim a contribution towards study costs from our study fund. If you want to follow an education or course, we will reimburse the costs according to our study costs regulation.
