Position: Technical Support Specialist

Objective

The Technical Support Specialist delivers exceptional IT services to maintain competitiveness in an increasingly interconnected landscape. Atlas Copco's digital transformation is ongoing, enabling us to operate at peak efficiency.

Your primary workplace will be in the Netherlands, with occasional travel to other Atlas Copco sites expected.

This role reports to the IT Team Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive onsite and desk-side assistance to end users for all IT-related inquiries and service requests.
  • Image, deploy, upgrade, and refresh computers while managing IT assets.
  • Administer and resolve incidents assigned to local support.
  • Engage in small to medium-sized projects.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to our specialized teams in server, network, and telephony infrastructure.
  • Advise clients and users on their IT requirements and best practices.
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with local business units.
  • Offer local expertise regarding processes, technology, organization, and business operations.
  • Continuously enhance and improve onsite support service delivery.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, compliance, and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Service Desk, Application Managers, IT Managers, and other stakeholders utilizing ITIL methodologies for IT Service Management.
  • Coordinate with peers at other locations for cross-functional support as needed.
  • Oversee administrative follow-up on daily operations and projects to ensure accountability.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in delivering IT services (minimum of 2 years).
  • Proven track record as a primary contact in service delivery.
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness while collaborating with colleagues across regions.

Technical Skills

  • Strong technical proficiency in troubleshooting PCs, laptops, and Windows operating systems.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • Basic understanding of cloud technologies.
  • Comprehensive grasp of IT service delivery in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with standard IT processes and methodologies (e.g., ITIL, PMI, and SDLC).
  • Experience with ServiceNow is advantageous.

Education

  • Higher education degree/diploma or IT industry certifications.
  • ITIL certification (Foundation) is a plus.
  • Fluency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written, is essential.
