About the Conservatorium Hotel
The Conservatorium Hotel, a 5-star luxury hotel in Amsterdam and one of the best 25 luxury hotels of Europe over the past five years, is seeking a seasoned Financial Controller to lead its Finance department.
Salary and Benefits
A competitive salary, with an estimated €90,000 - €110,000 per annum, depending on experience, is offered along with multiple additional benefits, such as:

Job Description
In this key role, you will leverage your extensive experience and expertise to improve and optimise financial methods and processes. You will lead the Finance department, encompassing accounting, cost control, income audit, purchasing, IT, budgeting, and forecasting.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the finance and purchasing teams;
- Integrate with the hotel team, educating managers on budgeting and P&L management;
- Drive the transition to sharing and analysing financial information across departments;
- Closely collaborate with department heads to analyse business and departmental results, ensuring targets are set and achieved;
- Conduct local due diligence, ensuring that approvals are obtained for significant decisions.
Requirements
You must have:
- At least 5 years' experience in a financial controller or equivalent role, including leadership experience;
- An academic background in Accounting, Finance or Hotel Management (Bachelor degree);
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English;
- Proficiency with Outlook Office and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel;
- Experience with accounting and data software (SAP, Opera and Power BI).
Please note that knowledge of the hospitality industry is preferred but not required.
