Job Overview

At DNV, we are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Power Failure Expert to join our team of Power Failure Investigators. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our customers in the Energy sector and help them navigate complex power grid failures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct and lead Power Failure Investigations on both component and system levels, including site inspections, dismantling of components, analysis, and report preparation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide expertise in areas such as power cables, transformers, switchgear, and transmission towers.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of failure mechanisms and power system grids to identify root causes and develop high-quality reports.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 8-10 years of experience in electricity grid components on medium and high-voltage levels, with specialization in power cables preferred.
  • Deep understanding of failure mechanisms and power system grid behavior.
  • Experience in performing asset failure root cause analysis, FMECA analyses, and risk assessments on power system and equipment fleet levels.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, with Master's degree preferred.
  • Project management experience and ability to lead international projects.
  • Excellent English communication skills and ability to write clear, high-quality reports and commercial offers.
  • Existing professional network in the energy industry and willingness to travel internationally.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of €90,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
