Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Technical Sales Manager to lead the technical scope of offshore wind farm projects during the sales phase. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and developing the best technical solutions in cooperation with clients, the sales team, and in-house experts.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the technical sales project team from bid preparation and submission to contract negotiation and signing.
- Take the lead in defining and developing the best technical solutions in cooperation with clients, the sales team, and in-house experts.
- Negotiate the technical requirements and specifications of Turbine Supply Agreements supported by the technical sales project team.
- Establish a solid planning of sales projects including plans for Design, bid preparation (Tenders), and Technical Due Diligences.
- Drive the internal technical review of client's tender material and final contracts, including defining technical risks and deviations.
- Provide cost input for technical solutions to sales calculations, including SCADA and tower quotations, features, and options.
- Report project status to the Sales Project Manager and ensure alignment across relevant organizational entities.
- Passion for renewable energy and a sense of the importance of leading the change.
- Excellent practical and people management skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to interface with numerous parties.
- Bachelor's degree (preferably Master's) in Engineering (or similar) coupled with a good business acumen.
- Several years of experience within the Wind Turbine industry, preferably with experience from R&D, project management, or sales.
- Understanding of the offshore environment in relation to large construction projects.
- Experience in contract negotiations, preferably for wind energy or large construction projects.
- Holistic overview of projects, without missing important details.
- Outgoing and proactive personality, with the ability to work both independently and in teams.
- Fluency in English, both orally and in writing.
