Live-Service Game Master Job Description

Pearl Abyss Europe B.V. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Live-Service Game Master to join our team. As a Live-Service Game Master, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our MMORPG live-service, handling day-to-day tasks, and interacting with players to provide an exceptional gaming experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Live-Service Operations: Handle day-to-day tasks for the game's live-service through our internal operation tool, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
  • Server Maintenance and Updates: Assist in regular server maintenance work and content updates to ensure a seamless gaming experience.
  • Issue Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and regularly report on live-service issues and player feedback to identify areas for improvement.
  • Player Support: Respond to live game issues, write notices when necessary, and provide support to players to resolve their concerns.
  • Event Planning and Execution: Assist in creating and executing weekly/monthly in-game events to engage players and enhance the gaming experience.
  • Community Engagement: Work closely with live-ops specialists, customer support, and community managers to solicit feedback and suggestions for game improvement.
  • Technical Knowledge: Stay up-to-date on the latest game updates to provide effective support to the player base.
  • Investigation and Documentation: Perform investigation and documentation on game exploits, bugs, and other serious technical issues.
Requirements:
  • Language: Native/bilingual level of German.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of work experience in the video game industry, especially in CS, QA, live-ops community management, or related fields.
  • Knowledge: Extensive knowledge and gameplay experience of MMORPG.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong customer service ethic and great interpersonal communication skills.
  • Personal Qualities: Creativity, curiosity, and a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Professionalism: Professional and mature demeanor, with strong time-management and organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Avid Player: Avid Black Desert Online player.
  • Project Management: Project management experience or related certificates.
  • Graphic Design: Graphic design or video production/editing skills.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in Korean.
