At SMART Photonics, we're on a mission to revolutionize the integrated photonics industry. As a Senior Optical Coating and Metallization Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in helping us achieve this goal.

Job Summary:

We're seeking a highly skilled engineer to lead our metal deposition and optical coating processes. You'll be responsible for optimizing existing processes, developing new ones, and ensuring the highest quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, yield, and throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and qualify production materials and auxiliary materials.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to ensure smooth operation of our tools and processes.
  • Interact with various teams, including Test & Measurement, Back-End, and Operations.

Requirements:

  • PhD or Master's degree in Material Science, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or relevant field.
  • 10 years of experience in semiconductor technology and industrial manufacturing.
  • Deep knowledge of metallization and optical coatings processes.
  • Experience with PVD, optical coating processes, and handling coating systems and vacuum technology.
  • Experience with working on metallization tools and MES (Manufacturing Execution Software).
  • Proven experience with process improvement and statistical tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, DoE).
