This position is focused on promoting the comprehensive range of Fortinet's offerings, particularly in the realm of SASE/SecOps initiatives, infrastructure, and security solutions. The individual in this role will oversee the development and management of significant business opportunities, demonstrating a proven history of successfully selling intricate solutions and services in close collaboration with the local teams, including Major Account Managers and Channel Managers.
As the market evolves, many of Fortinet's partners and clients will transition from legacy systems to more agile, digital environments. To facilitate this shift and ensure a seamless experience for our partners and clients, we seek a Business Development Manager who is adept in both the digital landscape and traditional infrastructures. This dual expertise will present a cohesive and consistent approach to our stakeholders.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience across various roles and sectors, with consultancy experience being advantageous.
- A proven track record of driving business growth within an international IT vendor.
- While experience in large organizations is beneficial for our ambitious growth plans, the ideal candidate for this digital-focused BDM role should possess the following qualifications:
- Demonstrable expertise in SASE/SecOps.
- Familiarity with contemporary methodologies such as design thinking, agile practices, and lean business models, which are increasingly relevant to our partners and clients.
- Experience managing complex digital transformation projects.
- A deep understanding of innovation, including how to foster it uniquely for each partner/client, leading to differentiation and market disruption.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive business plan that outlines strategies for success and revenue maximization.
- Ensure the highest levels of partner and customer satisfaction are consistently maintained.
- Create account plans that prioritize client relationship development and account growth/retention for both existing and new partners/clients.
- Manage and cultivate a sustainable pipeline of new business opportunities within both existing and new partners/clients.
- Meet or exceed established revenue targets.
- Prepare actionable quarterly and annual business and activity plans for the designated region or market segment.
- Maintain accurate records of all relevant partner/client information, prospects, and contacts.
- Communicate Fortinet's sales and marketing objectives effectively to all partners and clients.
- Collaborate with third-party advisory organizations and participate in vendor meetings.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations.
- Draft planning documents for partner/client alliances or specific services and solutions.
