Strategic Business Development Lead - SASE/SecOps

Location: Netherlands

The Strategic Business Development Lead for SASE/SecOps plays a pivotal role in fostering relationships with both large and medium-sized enterprises on behalf of Fortinet, while also enhancing and expanding the business with existing partners and clients.

This position is tasked with promoting the full spectrum of Fortinet's offerings, with a particular emphasis on SASE/SecOps initiatives, as well as infrastructure and security solutions. The individual will oversee the engagement and progression of substantial deals, showcasing a proven history of selling intricate solutions and services in close collaboration with the local teams of Major Account Managers, Channel Managers, and others.

As the market evolves, there will be an increasing number of Fortinet partners and clients transitioning from legacy systems to more agile, digital environments. To facilitate this shift and ensure a seamless transition for our partners and clients, we require a Business Development Lead who is primarily focused on the digital landscape while also possessing experience with legacy systems. This dual perspective will present a cohesive and consistent approach to our partners, clients, and prospects.

Essential Sales and Technical Expertise

  • Experience across various roles in multiple sectors, with consultancy experience being advantageous.
  • A successful track record in expanding business within an international IT vendor environment.
  • While experience in large organizations is beneficial for our ambitious growth plans, we prioritize other critical attributes for a Business Development Lead in the digital realm:
  • Proven expertise in SASE/SecOps.
  • Familiarity with contemporary methodologies and trends such as design thinking, agile practices, and lean business models, which are increasingly significant to partners and clients.
  • Experience in managing large-scale digital transformations.
  • Understanding of innovation and how to foster it, tailoring approaches for each partner and client to drive differentiation and market disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive portfolio business plan that outlines strategies for success and revenue maximization.
  • Ensure the highest levels of partner and client satisfaction are consistently maintained.
  • Create account plans focused on nurturing client relationships and driving account growth and retention among existing and new partners.
  • Manage and cultivate a sustainable pipeline of new opportunities within both existing and prospective partners and clients.
  • Meet the established revenue targets.
  • Formulate actionable quarterly and annual business and activity plans for the relevant region or market segment.
  • Maintain detailed records of all pertinent information regarding partners, clients, contacts, prospects, and leads in Salesforce.
  • Communicate Fortinet's sales and marketing objectives effectively to all partners and clients.
  • Collaborate with third-party advisory organizations and participate in vendor meetings.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals and presentations.
  • Draft partner, client, alliance, or account planning documents for specific services and solutions.
