Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Account and Relationship Management Executive to join our team at Ovid Technologies B.V. in the Netherlands.

This role will be responsible for building and maintaining effective long-term relationships with decision makers and influencers at assigned customer accounts in the Netherlands and Flanders.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of success in complex sales and solution selling, with a strong consultative approach and excellent presentation skills.

They will also have knowledge of the publishing and information industry, as well as experience working with clinical and academic markets.

The Account and Relationship Management Executive will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive sales plan, including new and existing sales strategies for large key accounts.

They will collaborate closely with colleagues from the Ovid Sales Team to maintain and grow existing accounts, while also working independently to create new opportunities throughout the territory.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned customer accounts in the Netherlands and Flanders
  • Develop and implement sales strategies for prospects and assigned accounts
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales objectives
  • Plan, organize, and implement sales activities to achieve defined revenue goals
  • Build and nurture strong customer relationships and develop new business within the assigned region
  • Make presentations to new prospects and existing customers in the identified markets
  • Conduct face-to-face on-site sales calls and plan and implement promotional work
  • Quote prices, prepare proposals, and provide information regarding terms and conditions
  • Participate in regional and national trade shows, conferences, and sales meetings
  • Compile data on marketing trends, competitive products, and pricing and report to management
  • Enter sales activity, new prospects, and account information into SalesForce
  • Prepare and submit weekly financial reports for the region

Requirements

  • Track record of success in complex sales and solution selling
  • Experience working with clinical and academic markets
  • Knowledge of the publishing and information industry
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a structured manner and manage tasks and priorities effectively
  • Fluent Dutch and English language skills
