Wireless Sensing Engineer for Next-Generation Communication Platforms

We are seeking a highly skilled Wireless Sensing Engineer to join our team in Eindhoven, Netherlands. As a key member of our wireless systems group, you will play a crucial role in the development of next-generation wireless communication and localization sensing solutions.

About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for designing radio models for wireless communication and radar systems, as well as RF/circuit impairments. Additionally, they will work on developing methods and algorithms to compensate Analog RF non-idealities/impairments by calibration, pre-equalization, and/or pre-distortion techniques.
- Design radio models for wireless communication and radar systems, and RF/circuit impairments.
- Develop methods and algorithms to compensate Analog RF non-idealities/impairments by calibration, pre-equalization, and/or pre-distortion techniques.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to understand and define system-level requirements.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in electrical engineering, as well as experience in developing behavioral models of Analog Front Ends and using them to derive building-block specifications. You should also have knowledge of RF and Analog components/modules composited of wireless communication systems, the possible impairments from those components, and the corresponding calibration and impairment reduction methods/algorithms.
- MSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years of professional experience in developing behavioral models of Analog Front Ends and using them to derive building-block specifications.
- Strong knowledge of RF and Analog components/modules composited of wireless communication systems, the possible impairments from those components, and the corresponding calibration and impairment reduction methods/algorithms.
We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of approximately €75,000 per year, depending on experience. We also provide a 100% employer-paid pension plan and flexible working hours. Furthermore, imec-NL offers a wide range of training possibilities.
