Business Development Manager Benelux

We are a leading international group of enterprises, and our company has been a traditional, group-independent entity for decades, boasting in-depth knowledge and extensive experience in lubricant technology.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement Motul's long-term vision, mission, values, and goals in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Build a nationwide network and develop a sales strategy.
  • Develop and review guidelines, pricing, product mix, and brand portfolio.
  • Regularly monitor and review sales performance and improve sales strategies.
  • Monitor sales figures and annual targets of distributors/wholesalers.
  • Develop and lead efforts to meet the overall sales plan in your area of responsibility.
  • Develop and maintain business contacts with distributors, wholesalers, repair shops, and Motul customers.
  • Actively contact potential customers and acquire new customers in the motorcycle and automotive industries.
  • Prepare and deliver customer offers in close cooperation with distributors, wholesalers, and workshops.
  • Participate in sales meetings with customers, wholesalers, and distributors.
  • Develop, implement, and support Motul promotions.
  • Monitor customer orders and ensure timely execution.
  • Conduct competitor analyses.
  • Collaborate with original equipment manufacturers, associations, and the press.
  • Represent Motul at trade fairs, motorsport events, and associations.

Required Skills:

  • University degree (Bachelor)
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in Business Development and Sales, coming from the lubricants/automotive sector
  • Traceable 3 years of experience in leading sales and/or marketing teams
  • General knowledge in the majority of operations-related systems (ERP) and profound knowledge of MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Field-tested technical skills
  • Project management skills
  • Financial understanding and experience, knowledge of costing, and margin calculations, and a good understanding of P&L and Supply Chain
  • Demonstrable success in negotiation of high-value contracts with customers
  • Knowledge of and experience in developing a marketing and promotion strategy on a global level, comprising:
    • Selection and implementation of proper marketing tools to increase market share
    • Customer-specific strategy
