Key Responsibilities:- Deliver Training: Provide expert instruction to ship-board technical staff on various technical topics.
- Course Development: Collaborate with the Operations Support team to develop and deliver courses according to the CSMART course delivery process.
- Representative of Corporate Safety Culture: Act as a representative of the corporate safety culture and promote this attitude with candidates.
- Course Development and Implementation: Develop new procedures to be implemented on board ships and ensure they are up-to-date with current practices and technology.
- Liaison and Communication: Liaise with the Operations Support team and other instructors to ensure everything is prepared prior to the start of courses.
- Participant Follow-up: Follow up with underperforming and outstanding participant processes.
- Equipment Management: Manage equipment, including simulators, and address any deficiencies.
- Experience: Typically, 5 years of experience in a STCW (III/2 Chief engineer unlimited or III/6) licensed role or equivalent.
- Senior Engineer/Superintendent or SME Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a Senior Engineer/Superintendent or Subject Matter Expert role in the Maritime Field.
- Leadership Experience: At least 5 years of experience in a Leadership role in the Maritime Field.
- Analytical and Structured Thinker: Possess strong analytical and structured thinking skills.
- Cruise Ship Experience: Highly preferred.
- Teaching/Instructing Experience: Experience in teaching/instructing would be an asset.
- Technical Knowledge: Possess a deep understanding of technical aspects, industry standards, and best practices.
- Computer and Network Knowledge: Knowledge of computers and networks.
- MS Office Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office.
- English Language: Apply fluent written and verbal English language.
- Effective Communication: Able to effectively convey information across.
- Growing Mindset: Demonstrate a growing mindset and able to influence others.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Able to navigate complex social dynamics, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Cultural Awareness: Works well in a multi-cultural team.
- Independence: Ability to work unassisted.
