About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Non-Financial Risk Grid team at ABN AMRO Bank. As the Head of Non-Financial Risk Management, you will be responsible for the strategic and tactical leadership of the Grid, translating the Non-Financial Risk strategy into concrete objectives and priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and own the design and implementation of Non-Financial Risk changes, systems, and processes for NFR stakeholders.
  • Establish a vision for the Non-Financial Risk technology strategy in response to market, technology, and business trends and opportunities.
  • Manage the planning, execution, supervision, and review of Non-Financial Risk systems and (IT) governance/processes.
  • Respond to requests from stakeholders such as I&ORM/SIM/Compliance/Audit to improve/develop NFR infrastructure, processes, and data.
  • Manage and control daily processes, controls, and IT operations.
  • Maintain a strong control framework to ensure controlled and stable operations of the function.
Key Challenges and Desired Outcomes
  • Support IT for NFR frameworks and controls on regulatory implementation to ensure control and continuous monitoring and evidencing of adherence to policies and regulations.
  • Align on priority, capacity allocation, and skill-set across the value chain in cooperation with stakeholders.

  • Indirect reports: Business Developers
  • Other Key Relationships: I&ORM (including BCM), SIM, Compliance, Legal/corporate office, I&T, Internal Audit, DFC, First line fraud handling departments (P&C units)
Your Profile

We are looking for a highly experienced professional with a strong background in financial services, risk management, and IT. You should have a Master's degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including experience in managing large teams and change or IT transformation programs.

You should have expertise or strong working knowledge relative to banking and Non-Financial risk management disciplines, as well as a solid grasp of Risk Management processes supporting the NFR, Compliance, and Legal functions.

Core skills required include change management knowledge, IT knowledge, communication skills, risk management and control, influencing, and execution power.

Leadership attributes required include encouraging and empowering teams to challenge the status quo and experiment, leading change, being mindful as a leader, dealing with ambiguity, collaborating and influencing, leading people, and other personal characteristics.
