About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Sales Director to join our team at Carbon Equity. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue expansion through strategic sales initiatives and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Sales Team: Oversee and manage a high-performing sales team, responsible for acquiring new customers and driving revenue growth.
  • Develop Sales Strategies: Design and execute comprehensive sales plans, including inbound lead conversion, outbound outreach, and partnership development.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team: Work closely with our executive team to align sales strategies with overall business objectives and revenue goals.
  • Mentor and Guide the Team: Provide guidance and support to sales team members, helping them to manage the full sales cycle and achieve their targets.
  • Utilize Data-Driven Insights: Leverage data analytics to refine and optimize sales processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Foster Key Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including wealth managers, corporate finance boutiques, and M&A professionals.
  • Oversee Sales Events: Plan and execute sales events, ensuring their effectiveness in engaging potential investors and showcasing our unique value proposition.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and investor preferences to inform sales strategies and product offerings.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 Years of Sales Experience: Proven track record of success in sales, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position at a high-growth scaleup.
  • Demonstrated Success in B2C Sales: Experience in B2C sales, preferably in a high-growth startup or scaleup context.
  • Alignment with Carbon Equity's Mission: Strong alignment with our mission to combat climate change by directing capital towards innovative climate technology companies.
  • Proven Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading sales teams, setting targets, and delivering results.
  • Strong Networking Skills: Ability to cultivate and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, adept at conveying intricate concepts in an engaging and accessible manner.
  • Data-Driven Mindset: Data-oriented mindset, harnessing insights to guide decision-making and optimize sales processes.
