Program Manager - Design for Excellence

Job Description

At Philips, we're committed to delivering exceptional value to our customers through innovative design solutions. As a Program Manager - Design for Excellence, you'll play a key role in driving business growth and profitability by identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives.

Your Role

  • Develop and execute a 12-18 month business improvement roadmap in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Coach project team members on Design for Excellence and Design to Value Methodology.
  • Create a network of expertise and drive talent transformation.
  • Lead strategic initiatives to improve business and profitability, transforming team and business practices.
  • Support knowledge management through maintaining and expanding our toolkit and best practice database.

You're the Right Fit If:

  • Master's degree in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., Engineering or other technical background) + MBA or equivalent experience.
  • Professional with 8+ years of strong track record leading cross-functional projects, and developing teams, with a high level of comfort with ambiguity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Project Management principles, SAFe/Agile, Continuous improvement (e.g., LEAN, Six Sigma, Kaizen techniques), value proposition creation and/or design thinking.
  • Proficient with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Qlikview, Tableau, R, SQL, Python, OBS).
  • Previous experience in a regulated market (e.g., medical device, aerospace, automotive) with prior consulting, medical device experience a plus.
