About the Role

The Senior Manager Buying CK Full Price will report into the Buying Director and be responsible for Men's business in the EU Region. This role requires a very experienced individual who puts emphasis on quality and details, can timely turn information into insights, and has an eye for product and driven by change.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop European merchandise plan by understanding future trends, analyzing current business, and collecting feedback from directly operated Stores, Brand Partners, and countries.
  2. In partnership with Global & European Product Teams, identify potential gaps in the line plan and make recommendations for improving the assortment for the market.
  3. Responsible for end-to-end buying activities for each area of responsibility, from following up with prompt and relevant feedback during Collection development to market preparation and execution and post-market reconciliation, sales analysis, and feedback gathering.
  4. Create aligned assortments in collaboration with Ecom to drive DTC business and Consumer messaging.
  5. Review seasonal assortments (collections) relative to the merchandise plan and ensure they can meet company targets.
  6. Keep relevant departments & affiliated offices informed of key global product initiatives. Liaise with involved parties to ensure those initiatives are launched according to agreed plan.
  7. Collaborate with Merchandise Planning to monitor yearly and seasonal budgets and inventory plan by country.
  8. Responsible for preparing market presentations with line and product direction, style assortments, and pricing.
  9. Monitor and analyze sales performance & inventory levels by market.
  10. Provides core and seasonal product knowledge support to Stores to drive sales and service and generate excitement within our retail channels.
  11. Communicates closely with other stakeholders to continually understand buying trends, developments amongst competitors, consumer insights, etc.
  12. Lead team members in all cross-functions toward business and profitability objectives; monitor progress against objectives and define strategies to correct problems as they arise.
  13. Lead and communicate effectively with a team of Retail Merchandisers/Buyers at varying levels, responsible for team building, coaching, and training.
  14. Build a high-performing team through development of talent; create individual and team goals based on performance metrics; monitor performance and give clear and frequent feedback.
  15. Anticipate and plan for future business/organizational needs.
  16. Play a leading role in Calvin Klein Men's area of the business, take ownership, and proud of product, processes, relationships, and results.
