Urban Gym Group is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk who has a passion for numbers and fitness. You will process incoming invoices in our accounting software, Exact Globe, on a daily basis. This role also involves preparing weekly payment batches for approved invoices. You will report directly to the Head of Accounting and work closely with other departments within Urban Gym Group.
Urban Gym Group operates over 35 clubs and studios in major cities throughout the Netherlands and is a pioneer in the European wellness and fitness community. You may know us from brands such as Trainmore, ClubSportive, Renessence, and BTY CLB. Our ambitious domestic and international growth plans require an expansion of our finance team. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will play a crucial role in achieving Urban Gym Group’s growth and financial objectives.
Our accounting team consists of various sub-teams, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial control. You will work with two accounts payable colleagues in a dynamic team with short communication lines. Together, you will be responsible for the timely processing and payment of invoices and expense claims. In collaboration with your colleagues, you will manage daily banking transactions for multiple subsidiaries and liaise with suppliers when errors occur in invoices or claims.
Responsibilities:
- Processing incoming invoices in Exact Globe.
- Preparing weekly payment batches for approved invoices.
- Timely processing and payment of staff expense claims.
- Daily banking transactions for all subsidiaries.
- Checking and correcting suspense accounts.
- Supporting colleagues with month-end closing and preparing audit files for the external accountant.
You:
- Minimum MBO-level education, preferably in financial administration.
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a similar administrative role, with a strong affinity for numbers (e.g., as an accounts payable clerk or specialist).
- Proficient in using programs such as Exact Globe and Excel.
- Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
- Naturally curious and eager to learn.
- Detail-oriented, precise, and well-organised.
- Interested in the fitness industry.
