Process Improvement Manager

BAM Group has developed and implemented the BAM-wide Tender Stage Gate Process and the associated Stage Gate System to reduce project risks arising from the tender phase and the risk of future losses in projects. This process and system supports the divisions and the Executive Board of Directors in selective and competitive tenders and in data-driven portfolio management. The Tender Assurance team is responsible for maintaining this process and we do this by continuously improving our Baseline, systems and Policies to safeguard reliable tendering and governance processes. We develop these processes by leading and activating the different expert groups and Tender Desks.
What are you going to do As Process Improvement Manager, you will be responsible for coordination and supporting the creation and implementation of BAM Practices with the expert groups. You will continuously help the different expert groups to guide and assist them in their role by providing the communication channels, templates and uniform way of working as well as monitoring progress. You will maintain our tendering processes and templates, support our team members and play an active role in dashboarding and reporting to sr. leadership.
- Design and develop a robust process framework for the Tender Assurance Function at BAM Group;
- Identify, plan and initiate necessary process updates and bring together the experts in the relevant disciplines;
- Support and maintain a structured and effective cooperation with the division tender desks;
- Organize kick offs with the expert groups and give them a sense of purpose and pride of taking part in process development and being an expert;
- Contribute effectively to the functioning of the TA team, supporting CRM development and tender review activities where needed;
- Lead the Tender Assurance Process Specialist to perform in an excellent manner;
- Play an active role in developing Data Governance within the TA function;
- Play an active role in developing and maintaining the tender dashboard.
Working closely with the Tender Assurance Director, you provide crucial input for our Stage Gate process. As part of a 5-person Tender Assurance team, you help implement our work-winning policy across BAM and all tenders. This position is based in Bunnik, The Netherlands. At BAM, we offer a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work both from home and at the office. Occasional travel to the United Kingdom is also required.

- A salary between 5.990,- and 7.490,- gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience. This is based on a 40-hour working week and excludes 8% holiday pay;
- Good secondary employment conditions in accordance with the Construction and Infrastructure collective labor agreement, such as a budget for sustainable employability (2,18%), variable compensation, 25 vacation days, 15 schedule free days and 3 short-term absenteeism days per calendar year;

For this position, we are looking for a person who can develop an inspiring vision and has a strong drive to further develop the Tender Assurance role. You can set clear goals and are constantly looking for opportunities. You are transparent and always keep an eye at the impact for the organization.
- You have a completed university degree;
- You have proven analytics skills and a drive for continuous improvement;
- You have at least 6 years of relevant experience in the field of tendering processes and business, project or tender management;
- You have experience within large, complex organizations. Preferably within construction, engineering, oil and gas services, property, maritime, dredging or related industries;
- You have experience with the development and implementation of tender processes and related business controls based on enterprise risk management;
- You are fluent in English and Dutch, both written and verbal;
- You have elementary Power BI skills and/or are willing to learn;
- You have the ability to collaborate across departments, working closely with other leaders and team members (good stakeholder management).
