Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for executing financial and administrative tasks across multiple international entities. This role involves managing vendor invoices, coordinating with internal teams, and supporting month-end closing processes to maintain accurate financial records. You’ll work closely with vendors and the finance team, contributing to process improvements and ensuring all entries meet organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Process and code vendor invoices accurately, ensuring compliance across various legal entities. Work with the Finance team to apply correct VAT codes and rates within the accounting system. Coordinate invoice approvals per company authority guidelines to ensure timely processing. Manage the accounts payable inbox, handling invoice intake, reminders, and colleague inquiries. Prepare month-end accruals and assist with unprocessed invoices to support financial reporting. Engage in ad hoc tasks and improvement projects within the finance department.Qualifications
Education: MBO+ or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. Experience: Knowledge of GAAP and demonstrated experience in accounts payable. Skills: Proficient in accounting software, Excel, and other essential office applications. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Languages: Fluency in English; proficiency in Dutch, German, Italian, or Spanish is a plus. Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive problem-solver with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
