Business Development Manager – Pharma Industry (Hybrid, Netherlands)


Are you an ambitious professional with a commercial mindset and a strong network within the pharmaceutical industry? My client, a dynamic and growing company operating in the European trade and pharmaceutical sectors, is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team.

Our client specialises in pharmaceutical trade and procurement, connecting key stakeholders across the European market. With a focus on fostering innovation, collaboration, and delivering quality solutions, they maintain a portfolio of partnerships with a variety of global pharmaceutical companies. The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding the company’s presence across Europe. Working closely with the commercial team, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining networks with procurement professionals and European pharmaceutical trade partners.
  • Driving business growth by identifying new opportunities and managing a diverse portfolio of clients and suppliers.
  • Exchanging market knowledge to strengthen the company’s positioning within the industry.
  • Supporting strategic commercial initiatives to achieve short and long-term business objectives.


This hybrid position requires most working hours to be spent in the office, based in East Netherlands. Onboarding will take place on-site to ensure full integration into the company culture and processes.


Key Requirements

We are looking for an ambitious professional with:

  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, commercial sales, or procurement within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • A strong network in pharma, particularly in European trade or BI (business import).
  • Excellent commercial skills and the ability to manage a diverse portfolio of companies.
  • A background in economics, business, or a related field, with knowledge of the pharma industry being a significant plus.
  • A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to collaborate and exchange knowledge across the business.

While the role is primarily Netherlands-based, candidates with connections and experience in European trade networks are encouraged to apply.
