China Taiping Insurance Group Company Limited, China Taiping for short, was established in Shanghai in 1929. China Taiping is the longest-operating national insurance brand in Chinese history. It originated from the three large national brands Taiping Insurance, China Insurance, and Ming An Insurance. In the 30s of the last centuries, the first subsidiary was set up in Hong Kong China. China Taiping Insurance (LU) S.A., or China Taiping Luxembourg for short, established in 2022, is a subsidiary of China Taiping Insurance Group and the headquarters in the EU to implement the internationalisation strategy. China Taiping Insurance (LU) S.A. is seeking a Business Development Manager with immediate effect.


The Business Development Manager's responsibilities AND primary duties include but are not limited to the following:

  1. Market Research: Study the Dutch market trends, analyze the competitors and support the company to optimize the business models for the Dutch Market.
  2. Marketing and Promotion: Organize marketing activities in coordination with the company's business promotion strategy, study customer needs and optimize existing business or promote the launch of new products.
  3. Business Development and Planning: According to the company's business development strategy, develop the business plans for the expansion of insurance business in the Dutch market and completing the business target assigned by the company.
  4. Distribution Channels Development:

    Build sales channels in the Dutch market and establish good cooperative relations with the brokers and agents.

  5. Customer Relationship Maintenance: Responsible for business development and relationship maintenance of key customers in the Dutch market, and improving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  6. Data Analysis and Performance Evaluation: Monitor the business operation in Dutch, regularly analyze the sales performance and adjust the market plan.
  7. Compliance Management and Risk Contro: Ensure that the business operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies to prevent compliance risks.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or above;
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the insurance industry;
  • 5 years of professional experience in sales and marketing specific to Commercial Property/Casualty insurance in Dutch Market.

Skills and Capabilities

  • Excellent written and spoken skills in English and Dutch is a must. French/German/Chinese is a plus;
  • Effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders;
  • A strong commitment to teamwork and the ability to collaborate effectively;
  • Able to work independently, manage workflow, utilize good judgment, meet deadlines, take initiative to address identified challenges;
  • Possess a demonstrated awareness of clients' or intermediaries' needs, wants and requirements;
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook Access

Other Requirements

  • Familiar with the laws, regulations and regulatory requirements of Dutch insurance industry.
  • Candidates with good customer resources and industry connections are preferred
