In February of 2022, Crocs, Inc. acquired HEYDUDE, a casual footwear brand with very high growth and high profit. This acquisition not only adds an outstanding brand to the Crocs portfolio, but will provide a wealth of opportunity for teamwork, career growth, and best practice sharing across the two brands.
**Introduction on the role**:
The VP, Direct Market Sales will develop and lead the sales and revenue strategy for all HEYDUDE International (non-North America) Direct (Wholesale) Markets. They will have accountability for delivery of our Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP), with unapologetically optimistic ambitions to grow the business. Guiding a sales team consisting of direct reports and matrix regional account managers, they will work across key markets (such as the UK, France, Germany, India, China, Korea, Japan and Australia), instilling a high level of confidence in the product and setting and delivering ambitious revenue targets, ensuring sales leaders are delivering brand standards and sales performance in their markets.
**What will you do?**
- Lead International Direct Market strategy, designing and delivering a strategy to deliver Long Range Plan (LRP);
- Create and maintain effective collaborative relationships across the global matrix (sales, merchandising, VM, marketing, distribution & logistics, digital etc.) to ensure delivery of the strategy and revenue growth expectations;
- Through sales team, engage with strategic and key account wholesale partners to ensure a sell-through mentality and to achieve desired price points;
- Ensure compliance through audit mechanisms, including brand standards;
- Align with local teams, to agree and deliver revenue growth plans;
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, ensuring that they are focused on delivering financial KPIs and brand standards;
- As part of HEYDUDE International leadership team, own strategic financial goals and contribute to the success of the HEYDUDE International business;
- International sales thought leader; work closely with International sales, digital and distributor team, contributing to their strategic plan and creating best practice.
**Who are you?**
- Experienced sales leader (15 years+) with experience across multiple continents, particularly Europe and Asia;
- Experience in the UK, Germany, France, India, China, Korea, Japan and/or Australia Wholesale consumer product markets
- Experience with the Footwear / apparel industry;
- Able to navigate the complexity and volatility of global markets;
- Deep knowledge and expertise of the market, competitive landscape, and footwear industry;
- Can clearly articulate strategy, vision and perspective, inspiring others;
- Able to pivot with ease from defining strategy to operational execution; proficient at prioritizing and getting things done;
- Able to build and develop a team focused on KPI delivery and brand standards;
- Inspirational people leader; able to motivate and develop diverse, dotted-line and remote teams;
- Highly developed collaboration and stakeholder management skills; able to get things done in matrixed organization;
- Engages and inspires cross-functional stakeholders, articulating the 'why' to ensure resource is used effectively;
- Entrepreneurial mindset, that generates ideas and innovation;
- Outstanding communicator, able to inspire and influence sales leaders and employees at all levels of the organization - including proficiency or higher in English;
