Position Overview

The role of the Business Development Director encompasses the leadership of all initiatives related to the PPDS Global Retail market segment. This position is pivotal in defining and managing the product and solution offerings tailored for the retail sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all business development functions within the Retail vertical.
  • Define and manage the product and solution portfolio effectively.
  • Engage with external partners to foster relationships within the Retail market.
  • Participate actively in pricing strategies and margin discussions pertinent to the Retail sector.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for all business activities related to the Retail product and solution portfolio across various regions.
  • Manage comprehensive business development activities, including portfolio management and product lifecycle oversight.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the Retail sector, translating them into actionable business ideas and requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the Professional Display Industry, including software and hardware partners, system integrators, and distributors.
  • Establish connections with industry analysts and media influencers relevant to the Retail vertical.
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year market strategy for the Retail segment.
  • Analyze market data to inform timely business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7 years of international business experience, with at least 2 years in professional display sales or business development.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Professional Display landscape across multiple regions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Retail vertical, including technology trends and pricing strategies.
  • Proven ability to drive business initiatives at regional and senior country levels.
  • Strong negotiation skills, encompassing commercial and legal aspects.
  • Experience in successfully launching products and driving significant business growth.
  • Project management expertise to foster innovation and new business initiatives.
  • Analytical skills to assess data and recommend strategic actions.
