Position Overview

The Global Business Development Director for Retail will spearhead all initiatives within the PPDS Global Retail sector. This role is pivotal in shaping and managing the product and solution offerings tailored for the retail market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive business development efforts for the PPDS Global Retail vertical.
  • Define and oversee the product and solution portfolio.
  • Manage external partnerships specific to the Retail sector.
  • Engage directly in pricing strategies and margin discussions within the Retail domain.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for all business activities concerning the Retail product and solution portfolio across regions.
  • Oversee business development tasks in Retail, including portfolio management, product lifecycle oversight, and pricing strategy.
  • Identify new business opportunities within Retail and translate them into actionable business ideas and requirements.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key partners in the Professional Display Industry, including software and hardware partners, system integrators, and distributors.
  • Engage with industry analysts, media, and influencers relevant to the Retail sector.
  • Maintain a multi-year market strategy for the Retail vertical across PPDS regions.
  • Analyze market data to inform timely business decisions.

Qualifications

  • Over 7 years of international business experience, with at least 2 years in professional display sales or business development, preferably in a retail consultancy context.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Professional Display landscape across multiple regions.
  • Deep understanding of the Retail vertical, including technology trends and pricing strategies.
  • Proven ability to drive business initiatives at regional and senior country levels.
  • Strong contract negotiation and management skills.
  • Experience in leading successful market introductions and driving business growth.
  • Excellent project management skills to foster innovation and new business initiatives.
  • Strategic and analytical skills to assess data and recommend actions.

  • Collaboration with regional sales management and key account managers.
