Are you a seasoned sales professional with a passion for technical solution selling? Do you have a strong mechanical engineering background and experience in managing sales teams? If so, we may have the ideal opportunity for you.

About the Role

We are working exclusively with a world-leading manufacturer of rotating equipment and mechanical components, seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our team in Rotterdam. As a key member of our European sales organization, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding our market share, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

This is a home-based role that requires regular customer visits throughout the region, as well as managing a team at our Rotterdam office. You will be supported by a team of internal sales engineers who will assist with any technical backup needed to close sales and support customers.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record in external sales, preferably in the mechanical seals, rotating equipment, pumps, valves, or associated sectors.
  • Sales management experience, with the ability to develop, mentor, and manage people.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate and sell to various levels.
  • A strong strategic thinker, with exceptional ability to develop relationships, manage key accounts, and develop new business.
  • An engineering qualification or mechanical engineering apprenticeship would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Extensive product training will be provided.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a highly competitive salary package, including a basic salary range of €90,000 - €120,000 (negotiable based on experience), plus performance-related bonuses, home office facilities, quality Audi company car, pension scheme, laptop, mobile phone, credit card, and extensive benefits.

The estimated annual salary for this role is €150,000 - €160,000, depending on performance.
