Job Title: Global Technology Owner Fermentation

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Technology Owner Fermentation to join our team. As a key member of our Global Technology group, you will be responsible for driving technology development and implementation across our fermentation operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technology development for fermentation unit operations, focusing on cleaning effectiveness and hygienic design.
  • Responsible for technology scouting, including pilot assessments, to ensure DSM-Firmenich stays at the forefront of industry developments.
  • Ensure end-to-end leadership across Operations to evaluate business attractiveness and drive technology standardization.
  • Owns and drives global technology standardization of unit operations and best practices, working closely with R&D and Engineering teams.
  • Provides URS for new line installations and actively participates in Capex projects.
  • Fuels continuous improvement of processes and technologies in the plants, focusing on efficiency, yield, quality, safety, and sustainability.
  • Leads technology know-how management across the organization and maintains relevant communities of practice.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or Food Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including technology scale-ups.
  • Proven experience in technology development, scale-up, and large-scale implementation.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, with leadership abilities and the capacity to build relationships in a cross-functional and remote setup.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
