The Role

This Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities at Sovos. Through research, outreach, and relationship-building, the representative will learn about businesses and educate organisations on Sovos' solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Identify and qualify new business leads through market research, networking, and outreach
  2. Develop and execute plans to pursue new business opportunities, including partnering with sales teams and account executives
  3. Maintain a strong understanding of Sovos' solutions and their value proposition
  4. Effectively communicate with mid-executive level contacts at clients to understand their needs and tailor Sovos' solutions to meet those needs
  5. Meet daily, weekly, and monthly activity targets and pipeline creation and revenue quotas
  6. Collaborate with internal teams to identify and execute business development strategies, processes, and tools to improve business outcomes
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes that impact Sovos' solutions and clients

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  2. Strong understanding of business, financial systems, and organisational decision-making
  3. Ability to work with mid-executive level contacts at clients
  4. Self-motivated, quick learner
  5. Effective internal and external communication skills
  6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  7. Proficiency with contact management solutions and Microsoft Office suite of tools
