We are seeking a highly motivated PhD researcher to join our team at ARCNL, a leading research institute in nanolithography. The successful candidate will work on a fully funded PhD project titled "Imaging Spectroscopy for Broadband EUV Source Size Characterization".
Work ActivitiesThe PhD researcher will develop novel imaging spectroscopy techniques to diagnose plasma dynamics in EUV sources. This will involve designing and commissioning experiments, analyzing data, and interpreting results. The researcher will also collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PhD students and postdocs, and work closely with industrial partners.
QualificationsWe are looking for a candidate with a strong background in physics or applied physics, and excellent programming skills (Python). Good verbal and written communication skills are essential, as the researcher will be working in a team environment and presenting results to colleagues and industry partners.
Work EnvironmentARCNL is a public-private partnership between the Dutch Research Council (NWO), the University of Amsterdam (UvA), the VU University Amsterdam (VU), and associate partner the University of Groningen (UG). The research institute is located at the Amsterdam Science Park, The Netherlands, and has a size of approximately 100 scientists and support staff.
BenefitsThe PhD researcher will have access to state-of-the-art cleanroom facilities at the MESA+ institute at University of Twente, and will be responsible for the setup, execution, analysis, and interpretation of experiments. The researcher will also have the opportunity to improve their experimental skills in extensive experimental campaigns, and will be part of a large team of PhD students and postdocs.
