The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Team Lead to join our Connectivity Business Division in the Netherlands. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of technical customer and application support engineers with expertise in wireless connectivity protocols, preferably Bluetooth.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wireless connectivity, with experience in customer support of wireless ICs, preferably Bluetooth, DECT, and WIFI. You will be responsible for mentoring and training team members, delegating tasks, and acting as a technical interface to Renesas customers and internal development teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the debugging activities of system-level wireless connectivity problems
  • Developing the technical and non-technical skills of the team
  • Behaving as a technical and behavioral role model within the group, demonstrating work ethic, technical expertise, and ability to deliver
  • World-wide travelling ~10%
  • Reporting to the Business Unit Technical Support Manager
Your Profile

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 5-10 years' experience in customer support of wireless ICs, preferably Bluetooth, DECT, and WIFI
  • Key skills: Wireless protocols, ARM cortex microprocessors, Embedded SW
  • Debugging skills, Knowledge of low-level drivers (UART, SPI, I2C, I2S, SWD)
  • Expert user of GIT repository management
  • Strong communication skills: Communication to team members and direct interface to engineers at the customer
  • Experience in leading a customer project, handling deliverables, and planning
  • Engineering degree in Computer Science or Electronics
