Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to become a vital part of our Platform team. In this role, you will take ownership of significant product areas and demonstrate expertise in SaaS product management.

Your primary responsibilities will include shaping the product strategy, developing the roadmap, and executing plans for specific domains within the Platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches. The Platform encompasses various areas, including Common Admin/User Management, Common Identity (OptiID), Provisioning, Optimizely Data Platform (ODP), Optimizely Connect Platform for integrations (OCP), Reporting, Content Recommendations, Product Recommendations, and Data Science, with a specific focus on the Data Science domain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the Voice of the Customer by collecting feedback from users and stakeholders, utilizing various tools to prioritize product enhancement requests.
  • Maintain regular communication regarding priorities and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Establish principles for prioritization that support consistent, data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrate technical proficiency, including a foundational understanding of Machine Learning and Data Science.
  • Conduct research and discovery as needed to inform product development.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and developments to anticipate customer needs.
  • Create detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) with early input from Engineering and UX to ensure optimal customer experiences.
  • Lead and motivate the scrum team to meet commitments and deadlines, providing necessary context and clear communication of value propositions.
  • Set a reliable schedule for product delivery while maintaining high standards for product quality.
  • Advocate for the company and departmental strategy, communicating it effectively to internal teams with a focus on customer benefits.
  • Align team objectives with company goals by defining metrics to measure impact (quantifiable key results / OKRs).
  • Drive execution and adoption, adapting based on user feedback and data, including the implementation of dashboards for tracking key metrics.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Participate in and lead initiatives aimed at enhancing product organization operations.
  • Address conflicts and challenging conversations with professionalism.
  • Take ownership of issues, exercising sound judgment on when to escalate matters.
  • Serve as a visible spokesperson for the product through presentations, demos, and customer interactions.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion and empathy within the team.
  • Seek out and lead challenging projects to drive innovation.
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback to enhance team performance.
  • Mentor junior team members and share knowledge and best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in SaaS product management, or 3-5 years of product experience with extensive familiarity with Optimizely.
  • Strong business acumen and a comprehensive understanding of business success fundamentals.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated individual capable of leading cross-functional initiatives independently.
  • Proven history of delivering high-quality products on time, positively impacting the business.
  • Experience with rapid experimentation to facilitate quick learning and iteration.
