Strategic Communications Director

Prologis is the global leader in logistics real estate, with a presence in 19 countries and a portfolio of high-quality properties totaling approximately 72 million square meters. We partner with the world's largest brands, including Amazon, BMW, DHL, FedEx, and Pepsi, to create strategic supply chain solutions that drive business growth. As a Director, External Communications, you will play a pivotal role in crafting and executing our communications strategy for Europe, working closely with the senior vice president of Global Communications and corporate communications counterparts. Your primary objective will be to tell Prologis' company story to our customers, partners, and key audiences in Europe, showcasing our expertise in logistics real estate and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy for Europe, aligning with Prologis' global goals and objectives.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders and regional teams in our European business and throughout the company, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Work closely with regional teams on high-level projects, leveraging your expertise in reputational management and public affairs to drive business success.
- Establish and nurture relationships with external media outlets, including top-tier business and industry trade publications, to secure local, regional, and national coverage of Prologis.
- Lead the development of all Europe-focused PR materials, including press releases, blogs, company fact sheets, and other public-facing materials, to support communications strategies.
- Collaborate with Prologis' PR agency partners in Europe to ensure cohesive and effective communication.
- Work with the Global Communications team to monitor, track, and measure media coverage on traditional, digital, and social channels.
- Prepare approved company spokespeople in Europe for media interviews and other engagements, ensuring they are well-prepared to address key issues.
- Identify external opportunities for Prologis thought leadership, including media interviews, speaking engagements, and other forums.
- Create innovative PR programs to increase awareness and positive perception of our brand, leadership team, and workplace culture.
- Effectively respond to reputational challenges in Europe as they arise, working in coordination with the senior vice president, Global Communications.
- 7+ years of experience in media/PR, with a focus in real estate, commercial development, public affairs, community affairs, or finance.
- Demonstrated success in building relationships with top-tier business media.
- Collaborative mindset, with the ability to work cross-functionally and thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines consistently.
- Excellent writing, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience working in or managing a PR agency.
- Previous crisis communications experience.
