Scent Design Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Scent Design Associate to join our team at International Flavors & Fragrances. As a key member of our Perfumery team, you will be responsible for developing creative strategies and leading regional projects to drive business growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement olfactive strategies to support the success of our Home & Fabric Care regional / category business
- Collaborate with Perfumery team to leverage market product knowledge and brand portfolio knowledge to guide the creative process
- Screen down fragrance themes against project objectives and identify new winning themes for incoming briefs
- Leverage IFF's Scent Portfolio for optimal efficiency in project work
- Manage fragrance selection and identify new fragrance themes for incoming briefs
- Develop understanding of consumer olfactive preferences and apply on fragrance strategy and provide feedback to Perfumers
- Strong project management skills, communicating with various functions (perfumers, consumer insights, marketing, scent technology, commercial, management, etc.)
- Expand knowledge of marketing and marketing tools at IFF and learn to partner with marketing on a regular basis in order to gain insights on customers brands
- Understand technical / innovation programs and how they contribute to the overall category / customer strategy
- Generate project reports and one pagers which can articulate valuable insights for x-category application to others in order to help maximize financial returns
- Creating and facilitating olfactive/ fragrance trainings
- Bachelor's degree / Masters degree, preferably in Science or Business
- Excellent olfactive capabilities (candidates will be required to complete internal smelling test)
- 1-3 years of industry experience (fragrance house or consumer goods company)
- Home Care category experience is a plus
- Project Management experience, ideally with some fragrance/ product development
