Are you passionate about investments and want to contribute to our growth ambition? We are looking for a Customer Journey Expert/business analyst for our shared platform who wants to take on the challenge to make our expanding platform ready for the next step: onboarding Italy.

Our shared platform reaches from our Back-end system Europort to our mobile banking app and everything in between. At Investments, we make investing accessible and help our customers grow their money. We support them to become the best investors they can be with a compelling value proposition and an excellent digital experience.

For moments that matter, we offer touchpoints with trusted advisors. Our shared platform is currently servicing both Dutch and Belgium clients and we are preparing to onboard the next country on our platform: Italy.

Investments serves ING's retail, private banking and business banking customers. We operate in a complex and highly regulated value chain with strong competition, rapid technological developments, and high commercial ambitions. This makes it a very interesting environment to work in.

Your role and responsibilities

You will work together in an international team with other Customer Journey Experts, front end and back end developers both onside and offshore. Together with your team, you are end to end responsible for onboarding the Italian investment proposition on the shared platform which is based in the Netherlands.

You will work closely with the Italian colleagues in order to translate the Italian proposition to the journeys offered by the shared platform. Examples of activities you do in your squad:

  • Determine the gaps between the current proposition in Italy and the way we work in the Netherlands and Belgium;
  • Engage with stakeholders to determine what is necessary for go live for the first Italian deliverable, what we will take as improvements and which features don't fit the strategy anymore. You have to consider the interest of all parties and come to a compromise that makes all happy;
  • Translate these requirements into a roadmap with clear timelines, that helps meet a timely enrollment of Italy to our platform;
  • Create stories together with IT according to the roadmap and test the deliveries. And doing all this while engaging your Italian colleagues, so they are involved and understand the way of working.

Furthermore, you have/are/can:

  • Current residency in the Netherlands and have excellent English and Dutch skills both verbally and written;
  • A passion for investments: it is your job to balance the requirements and needs of the Italian colleagues against what is already on the shelf for the Netherlands and Belgium. In order to do this, a good knowledge of what investment products are and what the rules and regulations are to offer them is required;
  • A strong affinity with Business to IT: writing stories, hunting bugs, refinement, testing and putting releases to production is one of the key elements of your job;
  • Like to work in a complex environment where a strong growth ambition, complex rules and regulations and IT challenges come together;
  • A digital first mindset and have an idea on how we can develop our products in such a way that processes are simple and STP (Straight-Through Processing);
  • Handle pressure and keep on smiling even when you need to tell people 'no' or explain why you cannot meet timelines or requests;
  • Like to do stakeholder management: we service both Belgium and Dutch clients and now we are putting Italy in the mix;
  • Doing one thing at a time does not make you happy. Context switching is your thing;
  • Not afraid to proactively contact people and gather information you need to do your job.
