Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team at Botanica, our culinary garden inside voco The Hague. As a key member of our F&B team, you will be responsible for guiding our team to deliver outstanding service, ensuring a seamless guest experience, and driving sales through suggestive selling.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Restaurant Lead in delivering exceptional service and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Lead by example, demonstrating a proactive attitude towards improving the guest experience and driving sales.
- Ensure the correct usage and care of all tools and equipment in the workplace.
- Handle cash, credit card, and room charge payments, and close the cashier at the end of each shift.
- Contribute to a safe environment for guests, colleagues, and yourself by following safety procedures and reporting any hazards.
- Meet local cleanliness and hygiene laws, maintaining a spotless work environment.
- Assist the kitchen and stewarding team with food preparation and dishwashing as needed.
- Provide exceptional service by helping guests with queries and offering personalized recommendations.
- Enhance the culinary experience through suggestive selling and upselling.
- Develop and guide your team to achieve their full potential, providing coaching and feedback to improve performance.
- Promote teamwork and lifestyle service through daily communication and coordination with other teams.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required to support the team and ensure seamless operations.
- Proven leadership experience in managing a team.
- Previous work experience in the F&B department of a hotel or restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of food and drink, with the ability to convey enthusiasm to guests and colleagues.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a good command of Dutch and English.
