Role Overview: The Pricing Strategy Manager plays a crucial role in enhancing Samskip's profitability through effective pricing management. This position is essential for optimizing pricing strategies across various channels, business propositions, market segments, and pricing models. The ideal candidate will possess strong coordination skills, a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics, and insights into customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete tender process from initiation to completion.
  • Optimize network opportunities for tender submissions.
  • Oversee pricing processes and implement transformation initiatives.
  • Establish and promote pricing best practices and training programs.
  • Manage standard cost assumptions effectively.
  • Oversee monthly energy surcharge adjustments.

Specific Duties:

  • Facilitate and lead customer tender processes, collaborating with stakeholders from various departments.
  • Identify and implement enhancements in the tender management process.
  • Maximize network potential for tenders that involve multiple business areas.
  • Work with senior management to align pricing goals with the company's strategic objectives.
  • Ensure that Samskip's terms and conditions are consistent with pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate pricing processes across different business units.
  • Analyze pricing data and performance metrics to uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Promote pricing best practices throughout the organization and identify training needs for pricing analysts.
  • Manage and communicate monthly energy surcharges to relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead and develop a small team of pricing analysts to ensure effective responses to tenders.
