Position Overview

As a Key Account Manager for Verticals, you will play a crucial role within our B2B Mobile sales division, focusing on fostering growth through the enhancement and expansion of customer and channel partnerships within designated market segments. This position is vital for driving revenue growth and establishing a sustainable business presence in the Dutch market for Samsung. The KAM for Verticals is tasked with achieving annual revenue objectives and ensuring long-term profitability across various market sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Management of Existing Vertical Accounts: Cultivate strong customer relationships (30% of your time)

Provide tailored solutions and services to accounts, serving as the primary liaison to address specific requirements related to your accounts' solution needs. Promote Samsung's B2B mobile offerings and solutions in collaboration with Channel Account Managers at our managed resellers and operators. Advocate for Samsung KNOX (secure platform) within your accounts. Educate our managed resellers on comprehensive propositions tailored to vertical markets. Organize, prepare, and compile documentation for bid submissions related to tendering and pre-qualification processes (if applicable). Develop and sustain extensive customer partnerships, focusing on building relationships at the executive level and expanding connections beyond IT. Facilitate technical solution discussions with clients in relevant verticals. Engage end customers by coordinating quarterly roadmap sessions. Take ownership of any issues and manage escalations effectively.

Acquisition of New Vertical Accounts: Identify and secure new key accounts (30% of your time)

Develop and nurture new channel partnerships aligned with Samsung's strategic direction for targeted verticals. Identify and acquire new accounts that enhance coverage across various market segments. Collaborate with the broader Samsung B2B team (Product Management, Channel, Bid Desk, etc.) to deliver optimal solutions and execute strategic initiatives. Articulate the value proposition of Samsung KNOX to diverse accounts. Establish a robust ecosystem within Key Accounts. Close opportunities by consistently reinforcing the business value of our offerings. Oversee the acquisition process for all new accounts.

Achieving Business Objectives: Meet revenue targets and reporting (40% of your time)

Manage sales performance, track progress, and provide forecast reporting for the product category. Develop strategic and actionable account/vertical plans that outline a clear growth trajectory. Monitor and report sales performance by vertical. Build and manage a healthy and predictable sales pipeline that includes qualified opportunities. Conduct research and share insights on customers and their respective markets with other sales team members and internally at Samsung. Coordinate demand generation activities and ensure proper allocation of sales-qualified leads.

Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the KAM Verticals position will possess the following qualifications:

5-8 years of proven experience managing mobile solutions in a dynamic business environment. At least 5 years of experience in sales within relevant verticals (such as industry, logistics, and retail). Experience engaging with senior and executive management in top-tier accounts, with the ability to align customer business needs with technology solutions. Capability to devise a market entry strategy and action plan. Strong understanding of solutions and product knowledge. In-depth market knowledge and experience, including comprehension of vertical business drivers and engagement strategies. Established network within vertical organizations, from C-level executives to IT leaders, with a solid understanding of their needs and business models. Proven track record in driving opportunities, managing a sales pipeline, and exceeding quotas within designated market segments. Customer-centric approach, demonstrating a commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Collaborative mindset, working effectively with others to achieve shared goals. Strong business acumen and agility, with the ability to articulate the business value of Samsung B2B offerings in competitive contexts. Excellent engagement and communication skills, with effective time management and account management capabilities.
