Position Overview

As the Strategic Account Manager for Vertical Markets, you will play a pivotal role within our B2B Mobile sales division, focusing on fostering growth through the enhancement and expansion of customer and channel partnerships in designated market sectors. This position is essential for adding value to Samsung and its clientele by ensuring a well-managed and expanding business presence in the Dutch market. The KAM B2B is tasked with achieving annual revenue objectives and long-term financial growth across various market segments.

Key Responsibilities

Development of Existing Vertical Accounts: Cultivate Strong Customer Relationships (30% of time)

Provide tailored solutions and services to accounts, serving as the primary contact to relay specific requirements regarding their solution needs. Advocate for Samsung's B2B mobile offerings and solutions with Channel Account Managers at our partnered resellers and operators. Promote Samsung KNOX (secure platform) effectively. Educate our managed resellers on comprehensive propositions directed towards vertical markets. Organize, prepare, and compile bid submission documents related to tendering and pre-qualification processes. Build and sustain extensive customer partnerships, focusing on relationships at the executive level and beyond IT. Facilitate technical solution discussions with clients in relevant verticals. Engage end customers through quarterly roadmap discussions. Take ownership of issues and manage escalations.

Acquisition of New Vertical Accounts: Identify and Secure New Key Accounts (30% of time)

Develop and nurture new channel partnerships aligned with Samsung's strategic objectives for specific verticals. Identify and secure new accounts to enhance coverage across various market segments. Collaborate with the broader Samsung B2B team (Product Management, Channel, Bid Desk, etc.) to deliver optimal solutions and support strategy execution. Articulate the value proposition (KNOX) to diverse accounts. Establish a robust ecosystem within Key Accounts. Close business opportunities by consistently reinforcing the value proposition. Manage the acquisition process for all new accounts.

Achieve Key Business Objectives Including Revenue Targets and Reporting (40% of time)

Oversee sales performance, progress, and forecasting for the product category. Develop strategic and actionable account/vertical plans that outline a clear growth trajectory. Monitor and report sales performance by vertical. Cultivate and manage a healthy and predictable sales pipeline comprising qualified opportunities. Conduct research and share insights on customers and their respective markets with team members and internally at Samsung. Coordinate demand generation initiatives and ensure appropriate allocation of sales-qualified leads.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Strategic Account Manager role will possess the following qualifications:

5-8 years of successful experience managing mobile solutions within a growing enterprise. At least 5 years of sales experience in relevant verticals (such as industry, logistics, and retail). Proven experience working with senior management in top-tier accounts, with the ability to align customer business needs with technology solutions. Capability to devise a market entry strategy and actionable plan. Strong knowledge of solutions and customer needs. Comprehensive market knowledge and experience, understanding key business drivers and strategies for engagement. Established network within vertical organizations, from executive to IT leadership, with a deep understanding of their needs and business models. Proven track record in driving opportunities, managing a sales pipeline, and exceeding quotas within designated market segments. Customer-centric approach, demonstrating a commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations. Collaborative mindset, working effectively with others to achieve collective goals. Strong business acumen and agility, capable of articulating the business value of Samsung B2B in competitive contexts. Excellent engagement and communication skills, with effective time and account management abilities.
