About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual to fill the position of Endowed Professor of Standardisation Management at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University (RSM). As a key member of the Innovation Management group, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of standardisation and innovation within our institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in standardisation management, focusing on its connections to innovation and business improvements.
  • Develop and teach courses on standardisation management, innovation, and technology, inspiring students to become critical thinkers and doers.
  • Engage in multi-disciplinary research, bridging gaps between diverse fields and driving business innovation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including the Stichting Koninklijk Nederlands Normalisatie Instituut (NEN), to establish a strong bond between our school and standardisation stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation, build consensus, and create change through your scientific insights and managerial perspective.
Requirements
  • PhD in management and organisation or a closely related field.
  • Strong commitment to high-quality, impactful research, demonstrated through publications in top management and business journals.
  • Exceptional teaching skills that ignite enthusiasm in the classroom.
  • Experience and/or proven interest in standardisation, innovation, and technology.
  • Passion for connecting standardisation to innovation to drive business improvements and contribute to societal and economic impact.
  • Full professional proficiency in English; proficiency in Dutch is a bonus.
