Job Summary

As a Field Sales Manager at GEODIS Benelux, you will be the key link between our new customers and our organization. Your primary responsibility will be to manage, realize, and develop the Freight Forwarding business activities of new customers within the framework of our Marketing and Business Plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop and implement strategies to increase revenue and market share.
  • Customer Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of our Freight Forwarding products and services, including our various vertical markets.
  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of results.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including sales teams, customer service, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of projects and activities.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis to management on business performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.

Requirements

  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a commercial freight forwarding environment, preferably in a commercial account management role.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as logistics or international business management.
  • Skills: Excellent language skills in both Dutch and English, good intercultural relationship skills, and a basic understanding of corporate financials.
  • Personal Qualities: Service-minded, listener, convincing communicator, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
