Senior Sales Account Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Sales Account Manager to join our European team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing senior customer relationships, and leading strategic initiatives to expand our market presence in Europe.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage key accounts in the European market.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate new markets and customer segments.
- Develop and implement strategic long-term joint-business plans with key customers, including aligning on marketing budget for trade and promotional activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to meet their requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities and threats.
- Negotiate complex and long-term contracts, pricing, commercial terms with customers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, food science, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in sales management within the food industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a competitive market.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional areas.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with senior-level customers.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability to travel within Europe as required, potentially 40-50% of the time.
