Donor Relations and Data Management Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Donor Relations and Data Management Specialist serves as the primary contact for supporter inquiries, emphasizing customer service to enhance supporter loyalty and engagement. This role involves the meticulous recording, processing, and acknowledgment of donations, as well as the timely and accurate input of data and revenue into the database (currently Salesforce, transitioning to Raiser's Edge). The specialist is responsible for overseeing data integrity across the Money Team, ensuring that the database remains current and organized to support fundraising initiatives from both individual and institutional contributors. This position requires a physical presence in the office to effectively carry out daily responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain the database with up-to-date information. Address all supporter inquiries, including expressions of gratitude, complaints, and requests for information. Manage all donation-related processes within the database. Generate income reports as needed. Coordinate data segmentation and execute mass communications to donors. Ensure high standards of data quality and compliance with GDPR regulations, collaborating with the ICT team. Assist the Philanthropic Partnerships Officer in developing and maintaining database practices that enhance understanding of the supporter base and facilitate prospect research. Provide support for donor relationship management. Contribute to the overall goals and strategies of the Individual Donor Relations team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Strong commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values, including a focus on intersectional feminism, social and environmental justice, and the rights of marginalized groups. Relevant educational background or equivalent experience in managing financial, supporter, and customer data. Personal experience in confronting injustice and various forms of systemic oppression. Familiarity with human rights, social justice, environmental justice, international development, and feminist movements. Proficiency in data entry on CRM systems, preferably Raiser's Edge. Competence in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Understanding of GDPR and the management of supporter communication preferences. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English and Dutch, capable of engaging with diverse backgrounds. Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on supporter engagement. Ability to collaborate across different organizational areas. Skills in relationship building and the capacity to represent the organization effectively. Attention to detail and organizational skills, thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Effective time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

OUR OFFER

We provide a full-time position (36 hours) within a dynamic and professional work environment at an international foundation dedicated to diversity, solidarity, peace, and justice. The salary for this role is commensurate with experience and is based on the CAO Welzijn scale 8, with a full-time salary ranging from € 2.836 to € 4.040, in addition to 8% vacation pay, a 13th month bonus, and a pension plan.
